Ampelmann Operations started work on its first project on the Su Tu Trang gas field, Cuu Long Basin, off the southern coast of Vietnam in September. Ampelmann provided an A-type offshore access system for the deepwater construction vessel Aegir, which is owned by Heerema Marine Contractors.
Ampelmann’s A-type is a fully active motion compensated access system designed to transfer 20 personnel safely and efficiently in five minutes.
The company also recently completed work scopes under a contract with Fugro TSM in Australia to supply safe offshore access services in the Joseph Bonaparte gulf. An Ampelmann A-type system allowed for safe and efficient transfer of personal between an unmanned wellhead platform and Fugro TSM’s vessel
