[JOB OPENING]ELECTRICAL & INSTRUMENT TECHNICIAN

1.0 KEY OBJECTIVES
Electrical&InstrumentTechnicianisresponsibleforcarryingoutmaintenanceofthe facility’selectrical,instrumentandcommunicationssystemandassociatedequipment withminimalenvironmentalimpactinaccordancewithlegislation,class,flagandthe FacilityManagementSystem(FMS).

2.1 PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Carryoutmaintenanceandrepairwork,shutdowns,isolationsandplanned maintenance.
• Familiarwiththefacilitieselectricalandinstrumentequipment,theirsafeoperation andmaintenanceandwillensurethathehasknowledgeofsafetyrequirements, includingworkpermitsystems,operationalandemergencyprocedures,Company policyandinstructions.
• Ensureallinformationenteredinlogs,reports,maintenancerecordsandFMSis accurateandconformstotheFacilityManagementSystem.
• LiaisewithMaterialsCoordinatorforstoresandsparegearandmonitor consumption.
• Performgastestsandisolationsasperpermittoworkrequirements.
• Superviseand support trainee andcontractor’s activitiesonboard, andensure work iscarriedoutinasafeandefficientmannerandincompliancewithFMS.
• Ensure[CriticalFunctionTest]CFTtestsarecarriedoutasperFMSrequirements.
• EnsurePLCdataisupdatedandwherenecessarybackupfilesaremadeand storedasrequired.ManagesoftwarechangesundercontroloftheEngineering ChangeRequest(ECR).
• Maintainallelectricalandinstrumentequipmentwithinallaplicablecodes, regulationsandstandards.Maintainratingofallelectricalhazardousarea equipment.
• PerformHVswitchingonelectricalequipmentasrequired.
• Participateashelicopterdeckcrewasrequired.

3.1 KEY AUTHORITIES

• Performisolationsforpermits.
• Identify and shutdown unsafe equipment as required.

4.0 HSEQ RESPONSIBILITIES

• Beawareofandupholdcompanypolicyregarding“Health,Safety,Environmentand Quality”.

5.1 WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

• MaintenanceSupervisorforday-to-dayguidance&instruction.
• LiaisewithFacilityManagementTeamasrequired.

6.0 QUALIFICATIONSANDEXPERIENCE

6.1 Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor Degreein Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation Certificationandorwith otherformaltradequalification(ClassA”electricallicenseorequivalent).
• Experience with Distributed Control Systems(DCS),[OpenTransferNetwork]OTN networks,ProgrammeableLogicControllers(PLC),electricalgenerationand distributionsystemsandhazardousareaelectricalequipmentselectionand maintenance.

6.2 PreferredQualificationsandExperiences

• Certifiedinhazardousareaelectricalinspectionandmaintenance.
• CertifiedinHighVoltageSwitching.
• Experienceinthemaintenanceandoperationofelectrical,electronicand instrumentationequipmentonboardanFPSO/FSOorseagoingoiltanker,orother relevantexperiencewithinthehydrocarbonsprocessingindustry.
• ExperienceusingcomputerisedPlannedMaintenanceSystems(AMOS),Safety Management Systems.
• Goodpersonalandinterpersonalskills.Experienceofworkingwithmulticultural workforce. Good knowledge of English(TOEIC350orequal).

6.1 Minimum Requirements


· Bachelor Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation Certification and or with other forma ltrade qualification(ClassA”electrical license or equivalent).


· Experience with Distributed Control Systems (DCS),[Open Transfer Network]OTN networks,Programmeable Logic Controllers(PLC),electrical generation and distribution systems and hazardous area electrical equipment selection and maintenance.


6.2 Preferred Qualifications and Experiences


· Certified in hazardous area electricalin spection and maintenance.


· Certifiedin High Voltage Switching.


· Experience in the maintenance and operation of electrical,electronic and instrumentation equipment on board anFPSO/FSO or seagoing oil tanker,or other relevant experience within the hydrocarbons processing industry.


· Experience using computerised Planned Maintenance Systems(AMOS),Safety Management Systems.


· Good personal and interpersonal skills.Experience of working with multicultural work force.Good knowledge of English(TOEIC350 or equal).
