KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Deals with external auditors under general/minimal supervision.
- Mainly involved in managing the external audit for all Baker Hughes entities in Vietnam. Key point of contact for communication/resolution of audit issues.
- Review of statutory financial statements and coordination of audit requests by working closely with Regional Accounting Centre (RAC) functional teams, Country Accounting Centre (CAC) Leads, tax, legal, company secretary, operations and other internal teams wherever relevant to resolve audit issues with auditors.
- Prepares the audit pack and draft the statutory financial statements that are in compliance to the local statutory requirements.
- To continually review processes and seek to communicate and implement changes to improve efficiency, particularly by leveraging on audit issues and findings experienced during the financial year.
- To be involved with all regulatory and tax submissions in Vietnam (CIT, PIT, VAT, WHT).
- To be the key contact person in Finance with regards to Asset and Inventory movements in Vietnam.
- To take part in the Management Reporting for the Joint Venture setup in Vietnam.
- Candidate must possess a Bachelor Degree in Accountancy/Finance or equivalent professional qualification (ACCA/CPA/etc).
- Must be proficient in both English and Vietnamese (both written and verbal).
- Min. 3-4 years working experience in accounting/audit related field.
- Possesses and applies knowledge of accounting principles, practices, procedures and auditing methodology.
- Possesses good analytical and inter-personal skills.
- Able to multitask, independent, proactive and willingness to learn with a positive outlook.
- Experience in statutory audit.
- Experience in handling external auditor.
- Experience in auditing oil and gas company would be an added advantage
- Operating knowledge of ERP systems (preferably SAP).
- Good working knowledge of Ms Office application particularly Excel and Word.
- Professionally qualified with ACCA or CPA or ICAEW
- Well versed in local Vietnam Accounting Standards (VAS)
- Operating knowledge of ERP systems (preferably SAP)
- Track record of being a good team player
