Production Technician
Job Description
Operation and maintenance of the facility's process systems safely in compliance with the Facility Management System.
Principal Accountablities
Carry out first line maintenance and repair work, Critical Function Tests, shutdowns, isolations and planned maintenance.
Familiar with the facility process plant safe operation and maintenance.
Operate DCS to monitor and optimize the facility process plant.
Monitor PTW system.
Information entered in logs, reports, production records and AMOS is accurate and conforms to the Facility Management System.
Gather and compile data for daily production reports and maintain a comprehensive log of all production activities.
Perform gas tests as permit to work system.
Monitor and maintain chemical injection equipment and dosage rates.
Support contactors activities onboard and ensure work is carried out in compliance with the Faclity Management System.
Oncoming production crew are fully briefed on safety and operational issuses.
Update Production department documents as required.
Key Authorities
Has authority to shut down process plant.
HSE Responsibilities
Fully conversant with the MV19 Emergency Response procedure and his role within it.
Knowledge of safety requirements, including work permit systems, operational and emergency procedures/
Discharges and emissions from the process facility are within the specilied limits.
Actively participate in HSE related initiatives
Working Relationships
Communicates closely with the Production Supervisor and Production Team on daily process issues.
Job Requirment
Experience as production technician on an hydrocarbon processing facility.
Experience with Facility Management Systems and computerised Planned Maintenance Systems.
Good personal and interpersonal skill, food knowledge of English with experience of working with multicultural workforce.
Preferred Qualifications
Engineering trade, hydrocarbons production or other relevant qualification.
