Job Title: DCS Engineer

Report to: Maintenance Superintendent

Job purpose: To provide supports to maintain the safe operation, integrity and reliability and to carry out software modification of the DCS/SCADA/PLC systems installed on CLJOC’s offshore installations.

DCS Engineer/E&I Coordinator/Maintenance Superintendent/Line Deputy Manager/ Line Manager

Job Scope:

• Direct Report: E&I Coordinator
• Indirect Report:

Principle responsibilities:

• Should work in compliance with the CLJOC’s HS&E policies and procedures
• Responsible on DCS/SCADA/PLC software changes and troubleshooting of logic. Cooperate with relevant department in implementing the DCS/SCADA/PLC control logic.
• Maintain DCS/SCADA/PLC system database and control access to DCS/SCADA/PLC equipment and software.
• Provide support to offshore E&I group in definition of the scope of work for control & instrumentation job-packs for routine, non-routine, shutdown and modification tasks.
• Provide clarification of, and response to control systems technical queries from CLJOC offshore installations.
• Support engineering and project group in the design, installation, testing and start-up of new control & instrumentation systems or upgrades.
• Work with E&I Coordinator/Maintenance Superintendent and other department to ensure critical DCS spares are available and stocking levels are correct.
• Perform other work assigned by Line Manager.

Qualifications and Skills required:

• University degree, major in instrumentation and control system, electrical engineering or computer science is preferred
• Tree or more years of direct experience in programming of DCS/SCADA/PLC systems. Experience with Siemens or YOKOGAWA DCS systems is preferred
• Experience and knowledge of Hydrocarbon processing system and utilities
• Working knowledge of information technology including Windows Operating System, Visual basic programming and IT network is a plus
• Demonstrates personal initiative and motivation by working independently
• Cultural sensitivity and ability to work within diverse team
• Able to work in an offshore environment
• Safety and environment focus
• Proficient in English language
• Ability to learn new software and procedures quickly and with a minimum of outside training or schools
