Job Description Educational Level: University Graduated or equivalent Work Experience: Min 7 years operation experience in Petroleum / Petrochemical Plant or Equivalent Specialty/Qualification: A bachelor’s degree in chemistry, mechanical or equivalent Skills: Excellent mechanical and chemistry knowledge as well as mathematical theories and applications Excellent knowledge and understanding of process design, equipment / plant operation and maintenance Proficient skills of equipment / plant operation Report writing and presentation skills English skills IELTS 5.0 or equivalent Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook Responsibility: For this position, minimum works related to Tankage and Truck loading are as follows, Works outside in the plant and is in constant communication with the Shift Supervisor and Panel Operator directly and/or by radio in field operations such as making manual adjustments to valves and equipment etc. Lead other field operators to perform the work assigned in accordance with Shift Supervisor and Panel Operator. Observe local instruments, gauges, and meters to verify conformance to standard operating practice. Collect samples of various streams and delivers them to the laboratory. Start and stop pumps, compressors and other equipment based on the direction of the panel operator. Patrol the plant and ensures that the equipment is operating normally and that no unusual conditions exist. Responsible for preparing equipment for maintenance including isolation, draining, steaming, and other procedures as required. Responsible for preparation such as plant isolation etc., for day-to-day maintenance work. Perform daily check and minor maintenance based on the check list etc. Lead other field operators to take appropriate actions in accordance with Shift Supervisor and Panel Operator in case of emergency. Receive firefighting training based on firefighting training program preparing for emergency. Some of lead operators, if appointed temporary firefighting crew, acts as a one of firefighting crew In case of emergency. Work directly with the foreign experts in the transfer of technical advice during the initial period of operation. Participate in the development of training programs as well as building up the operator team and ensuring their competence for the tasks in the assigned area. Responsible for assisting in training of freshmen & operating staff prior to commissioning.
