Specific Accountabilities
- Ensure the PTW, Certificates and other supporting documents have been properly completed and authorised prior to issue
- Ensure the issuing (suspending and closing) of PTW and associated documentations comply with the PTW procedure.
- Manage the PTW system / process to ensure that PTW requirement are properly controlled, coordinated and communicated.
- Ensure the worksite has been examined and that all pre-requisite control measures have been put in place prior to allowing a permit to go live.
- Operating the Permit To Work office to reflect the current status of all permit work and isolations. This includes maintaining the permit isolation display board.
- Advises OIM on PTW / SIMOPS related issues and or clashes, ensuring that conflicting permits are not issued.
- Affirming that the PA of each Work fully understands the scope of the task.
- Audits approved permits to verify the effective implementation of the Permit to Work System;
- Ensure that any required isolations are in place prior to allowing an associated permit to go live.
- Ensures all conflicting permits and certificates are clearly cross reference, advising PA and AA of any potential conflict.
- Recording any lessons learned during the operation of the PTW System in the Lessons Learned Register.
- Ensuring that all new staff are registered in the PTW register at the appropriate level and / authority
- Keep an up-to-date log of all permit audit findings to ensure improvement of the system where applicable and that all changes are communicated to all offshore staff.
- Log all permits that have been returned in the event of an emergency, to ensure compliance with the procedure.
- Maintain stock levels of all critical PTW stationary, consumables and LOTO equipment.
- Has engineering background, university graduate (preferred)
- 3 years - experience as PTW Coordinator or similar position.
- Experienced in implementing and operating integrated Safe Systems of Work. offshore and project phase.
- Have knowledge of hydrocarbon processing and has had exposure / experience on oil and gas offshore installations before
- Fully familiar with safety systems of work (PTW), hot work activities, gas testing, confined space entry work, monitoring of activities during plant shutdowns and refurbishment of major equipment.
- Have a broad understanding of offshore hydrocarbon processes.
- Fluent in English both written and oral.
- Have a good working knowledge of recent Microsoft Suite such as Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.
