Analyzer Senior Engineer

Analyzer Senior Engineer in Reliability Engineering Section is responsible to provide support services on analyzers to the Maintenance Division and to supervise. To perform its responsibility, Minimum works are as follows:

  • Responsible to provide analyzer support services to the Maintenance Division and to supervise.
  • Establish, develop and monitor maintenance programs (which include inspection & monitoring) for analyzer.
  • Provide daily maintenance plan and each maintenance acts for analyzer.
  • Provide technical support and expertise in an effort to maintain reliable analyzer (such as On-Line Analyzers including models such as: Gas Chromatograph, Simulated Distillation, RVP, PNA, NIR Octane Analyzers, Color and Oxygen Analyzers, sulfur and lead analyzers etc.) for the refinery.
  • Support field process analyzer technology, covering all aspects from conceptual design, through detailed engineering, day-to-day maintenance activities, long-term performance monitoring, field troubleshooting, and analyzer engineer/maintenance technician training.
  • Conduct routine and complex engineering, design, analysis and technical tasks.
  • Conduct technical leadership role to supervise, coordinate and direct others.
  • Identifying areas where analyzer can improve plant operation and profitability (such as developing optimized on-line analyzer preventive maintenance program etc.).
  • Monitor and evaluate analyzer for anomalies and deficiencies, and make recommendations to repair or upgrade as needed.
  • Select, coordinate and supervise maintenance contractors for additional support activities when required.
  • Supporting criticality assessments of the plant's analyzer
  • Suggest for spare parts for analyzer.
  • Overseeing application and interpretation of Vietnamese analyzer codes and other applicable codes and standards (including common industry standards).
  • Perform root cause analysis techniques.
  • Develop life cycle costs for analyzer repairs and replacement.
  • Prepare technical repair work scopes for analyzer, testing and/or modification in line with OEM recommended practices, common industry standards and company procedures.
  • Help shop craftsmen in the analyzing and troubleshooting of failed analyzer and rework jobs.
  • Prepare analyzer RFQ packages and technical bid evaluations and make vendor suggestions.
  • Develop QA/QC standards for analyzer repair.
  • Prepare analyzer technical specifications
  • Review vendor design documents and coordinate with vendors during equipment design and fabrication process.
  • Develop and setting up an effective analyzer training program at refinery.
  • Be mentor to the less experienced engineers in the group.
  • Other reasonable works as requested by his Leader.
Requirements
  • University (Electrical, Automation, Instrumentation, Chemical degrees or equivalent)
  • Work Experience: Min 3 years working experience in Refinery or Petrochemical plant (Min 5 years working experience in Manufacturing Plant) and at least 2 years’ experience on Analyzer Systems.
  • English Skill: IELTS 5.0 or equivalent
  • Knowledge of International Standards applicable to Petrochemical installations.
  • Knowledgeable in establishing communications between analyzers and Distributed Control Systems.
  • Knowledgeable with Fire & Gas Detectors in the Field.
  • Knowledgeable with Safety Instrumented System (SIS) such as Emergency Shut Down systems (ESD), with Safety Instrumented Function (SIF) and with Safety Integrity Level (SIL).
  • Knowledgeable with Cause & Effects Charts.
  • Knowledgeable with various Root Cause Analysis methods.
  • Strong oral and written communications abilities and a good working knowledge of personal computer applications.
  • Skilled Write high quality letters, reports and design packages to enable implementation of engineering recommendations.

Instrument Senior Engineer

Instrument Senior Engineer in Reliability Engineering Section is responsible to provide support services on Instrument equipment to the Maintenance Division and to supervise. To perform its responsibility, minimum works are as follows:

  • Assist instrument leader to take lead to prepare maintenance plan, maintenance procedure, maintenance work step, maintenance check sheet for control systems and instrument equipment.
  • Assist instrument leader to take lead to prepare Job Plan, create Work Order for maintenance works and repair works
  • Assist instrument leader to take lead to supervise and co-ordinate with maintenance contractors in order to perform preventive maintenance for instrumentation equipment. Monitor contractor’s persons and review their report.
  • Assist instrument leader to take lead to follow up and control maintenance activities as per maintenance schedule.
  • Take lead in participating to investigate the root cause for the incident of instrumentation equipment. Make recommendations and report to leader how to repair/how to solve the problem.
  • Take lead to identify and make the request for material and/or spare parts for instrumentation equipment.
  • Take lead in participating for procurement activities such as budget preparation, RFQ/ITBD preparation, Bidder evaluation, selection the supplier, etc.
  • Take lead to co-operate with person in warehouse, in workshop as well as related person in refinery to perform assigned works.
  • Take lead to provide technical support and expertise in an effort to maintain reliable instrumentation for the refinery. Prepare maintenance procedure and detail work steps when required.
  • Take lead in identifying areas where instrumentation/controls can improve plant operation and profitability.
  • Take lead to help shop craftsmen in the analyzing and troubleshooting of failed equipment and rework jobs.
  • Be mentor to less experienced engineers in the group.
Requirements
  • Educational Level: University Graduated (Automation / Electronic or equivalent)
  • Work Experience: Min 5 years working in instrument and automation system
  • Specialty/Qualification: A bachelor’s degree in Automation / Electronic or equivalent
  • Knowledgeable with the industrial standards and code requirements for control systems and field instrument equipment: ISA, IEC, API, ISO
  • Knowledgeable with the application of variable type of control systems such as Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), Distributed Control System (DCS), Emergency Shutdown System (ESD) and Machine Monitoring System (MMS).
  • Have experience in maintaining field instrumentation and control system in petrochemical plant, power plant or oil & gas plant.
  • English skill: IELTS 5.0 or equivalent
  • Be familiar with maintenance and calibration for field instrumentation equipment, such as control valve, flow instrument, level instrument, pressure instrument etc.
  • Capable to effectively review project documentation, drawings, equipment specifications and testing procedures.
  • Write reports and design packages to enable implementation of engineering recommendations.
