SHIP ASSEMBLY TEAM LEADER
POSITION DETAILS
Position title : Ship Assembly Team Leader
Department : Ship Assembly (7330)
Report to : Ship Assembly Manager
Working location : Vung Tau
Working time : 45 hours/ week
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• The purpose of this role is to carry out the assigned duties, which include but no limit to:
• Manage a team of 15 to 30 workers, in charge of building ship hull parts.
• Organize the work to achieve HSE, Quality, Milestone and budget demanding targets in a challenging environment.
• Provide coaching & training to develop the workers skills.
• Work in deep cooperation with technical department and planning department to achieve the targets.
• Make working plan (weekly & monthly) for the team in-charge.
• Guide, regularly inspect and manage their employees to comply with processes measures for safe working; to manage, usage of the personal protective equipment, safety equipment and equipment for medical emergencies.
• Organize workplace of ensuring safety – occupational sanitation; combine with safe – hygienic doing workers to perform well the self-inspection foe detection and timely treatment of threats to the safety and health arising in the course of labor and production.
• Promptly report to the superiors all phenomena that is lack of safety – occupational sanitation in the production that team can’t be settled and the case of happening occupational accidents, equipment break down for taking timely remedies.
• Review and assess the status of safety – occupational sanitation and the observance of regulations on safety – occupational in the meeting session for self-review of the situation of the labor and production of the team.
• Team Leader has the right to refuse the acceptance of the persons who are not qualified and qualification on technique of safety – occupational sanitation to work; to refuse the acceptance of the job or suspension of the work if there is any dangers to life and health of their members and report promptly to the superiors for handling.
• Comply with the laws and regulations of labor safety and hygiene related to works and assigned tasks.
• Use and maintain the Personal Protective Equipment, working tools, safety appliances and equipment in the work place, and are responsible for any loss or damage.
• Report immediately to a person in charge when discovering risks that may lead to work related accidents, diseases or poisoning and danger. Give first-aid and take corrective action to prevent work related accidents as required by the company.
• Properly participate periodic medical check-up and occupational disease examination organizedby employer.
• Get advice from and follow doctor's instruction if treatment is required.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor degree within naval, marine or general engineering.
• Ship building or industrial experience.
• People and works Management Experience.
• Technical Knowledge in steel ship's hull or steel structure construction.
• Leadership.
• English/ Computer knowledge is an asset.
• Ship building technical issues interest.
