SMV is looking for 01 Electrical Design Superintendent

We are urgently looking for 01 Electrical Design Superintendent which suitable the detail below:

+ Major duties

• Allocate design tasks to design engineers
• Ensure the integration of all systems
• Ensure correct supplier information is used in all systems
• Co-ordinate production details with relevant line managers
• Oversee the writing of procurement specifications for major pieces of engineering equipment
• Ensure system designs comply with technical specification
• Ensure system design comply with Class and Flag requirements

Other duties

• Co-ordinate design information for submission to Class and Flag authorities
• Assist with developing shipyard standards for electrical engineering systems

+ Job Specification (Knowledge, Qualification, Skills and Experience)
Knowledge

• Knowledge of the marine and shipbuilding industry
• Understanding of ship electrical system design and operation
• Knowledge and understanding of current IMO regulations

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) or equivalent

Skills

• Time management
• Analyze information from several suppliers and select the most suitable/cost effective option
• Good AutoCAD
• Good English
• Good communication skills

Ability

• Ability to encourage and motivate team members toward common goals
• Ability to work under pressure
• Ability to meet deadlines

Experience (if any)

• 10+ years of experience in the marine industry, either in a design office or shipyard
