The purpose of this role is to carry out the assigned duties, which include but no limit to:

Prepare steel outfit, arrangement, and safety plan drawing packages for submission to Classification Societies, with comments from Project Manager or other senior staff.

Design ship’s structure – hull and foundations – at the concept, basic and functional design levels, for submission to Classification Societies, with input from Project Manager or other senior staff.

Perform basic structural calculations using empirical formular from Classification Rules, as well as first principles.

Assist in preparing weight estimates.

Develop 3D compartment arrangements for space allocation and visualization purposes.

Work in a team, share ideas, concerns and propose solutions promptly, both intra-office and inter-office.

Be mentored and coached by higher positions’ level.

Take responsibility of all work assignments and goals completed within budgets and deadlines.

Maintain confidentiality with sensitive information.

Qualifications Required:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Structural, Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering.

Other Requirements:

Have two to five years of post-graduate experience in detail or functional design.

Have knowledge about Classification Society Rules, Industry Regulations and Codes and other relevant standards.

Have good understanding and experience in using computer software programs necessary to complete Position Objectives (i.e. MS Office products, etc.).

Have strong foundation in 2D drafting (AutoCAD) and 3D modelling.

Have critical thinking, adaptability.

Fluent in written and spoken English and Vietnamese.

Might be required to travel to North America for short term work.
