Position: HSE Engineer
Location: FPSO/FSO Malaysia
Roster: Back to back 28 days

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

▪ Provide support to the project by maintaining a visible presence to the field performing site visits to the entire project. ▪ Assist in the coaching, mentoring and implementation of the HSE programs at project sites such as safety campaigns, behavioural safety, UCUA / safety observation card, safety walkabout, toolbox talks. ▪ Participate in project site toolbox talks and mass safety talks. ▪ Inform the project management team and supervision of any new or conflictive legislative matters that could impact the project. ▪ Regularly conduct HSE inspection / surveillance such as tools & equipment safety, scaffolding safety, high risk activities i.e., hot works, working at heights, confined space entry, lifting, diving, etc. ▪ Prepare daily / weekly HSE reports. ▪ Ensure that all incidents are reported immediately. Participate and assist in the investigation of incidents to determine root cause, and corrective actions where necessary. ▪ Ensure incident corrective actions are followed up on and completed. ▪ Verify contractor / subcontractor site workers training and competencies. ▪ Ensure safety obligations of the clients are carried out and communicated to the own and contractor / subcontractor PMT, supervisors, foremen. ▪ Conduct safety induction / safety briefing to new workers and visitors. ▪ Ensure safety boards with postings including but not limited to: Health and safety policies of company, Client’s and Contractors’, HSE statistics, project hazard assessment / JSA, location of first aid, etc. are maintained and current. ▪ Prepare for, and participate in HSE audits such as ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and/or Client audits. JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT: Internal ▪ Project Management Team ▪ Company HSE team & Centre of Excellence (COE) team ▪ Company GHSSE External ▪ Local authorities and agencies ▪ Clients ▪ Shipyards, Contractors, and sub-contractors. ▪ Classification societies and certification bodies COMPETENCIES: I. Functional o HSE Management (ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001, etc.) o Risk Management (HAZID, HRA, QRA, Safety Case, etc.) o Emergency & Crisis Management o Incident Investigation (Bow Tie, Tripod Beta, etc.) o HSE Assurance (Internal Auditor / Lead Auditor / Tier 1 Assessor, etc.) o Familiar in local and international HSE regulations, Classification rules, industrial codes & practices and HSE standards II.
