Key Responsibilities:
Hull Quality Inspection:
Conduct regular patrols to ensure hull standards are met.
Inspect incoming materials and ensure compliance with specifications.
Verify that welding consumables and other materials meet criteria.
Inspection Coordination and Reporting:
Perform pre-inspections with departments to ensure readiness for official inspections.
Collect data and prepare Request for Inspection (RFI) and inspection reports.
Collaborate with Class Surveyors and Ship Owners to conduct inspections.
Report project-related issues to the Quality Manager.
Quality Coordination:
Organize quality meetings and address third-party comments with the Project, Engineering, and Production departments.
Ensure no deviation between fabrication and drawing requirements.
Documentation and Procedures Preparation:
Prepare procedures and documentation for hull inspection requirements.
Additional Duties:
Ensure compliance with company policies, national and international standards.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's or Master's in Naval, Marine, or General Engineering.
Experience: Minimum 3 years in shipbuilding or a similar field.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of Hull standards and testing methods (NDT, leakage, structural).
Familiarity with shipbuilding technology and industry regulations.
Basic computer skills.
Good written and spoken English.
