Key Responsibilities:

Ship Arrangements and Outfitting:


Assist in preparing ship arrangements, outfit and accommodation drawings at the concept, basic, and functional design levels.

Assist in preparing safety plans according to IMO regulations for submission to Classification Societies.

Assist in the specification and layout of deck equipment.

Assist in preparing outfit weight estimates.

Develop 3D compartment arrangements for space allocation and visualization purposes.

Collaboration:

Work effectively within team environments, both within the office and across global teams.

Share ideas, concerns, and solutions openly with team members.

Complete assignments on time, adapting to changes in goals or priorities while maintaining confidentiality.

Problem-Solving:

Analyze and reflect on observations and experiences to assist in solving problems.

Qualifications:

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Structural, Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or equivalent engineering discipline.

Experience: 0-3 years of experience in a shipbuilding company or relevant industry.

Technical Expertise:
  • Basic knowledge of Classification Society Rules, Industry Regulations, Codes, and other relevant standards.
  • Familiarity with the ship design process and other shipbuilding disciplines (stability, structure, mechanical).
  • Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD (2D Drafting), and 3D Modelling software.

Competencies:

Communication: Effectively conveys key information in a clear and timely manner.

Language: Possess basic reading and writing skills in English, with a proactive attitude and strong motivation to improve communication skills through practice and company-provided training.

Adaptability: Adjusts behavior and approaches based on the situation.

Willing to be mentored and coached by senior engineer.

Other requirements:

Legally authorized to work in the job location.

Willing to travel to North America for short-term assignments.
