PVTrans Oilfield Services is searching for HSE Officer to join our team for Sao Vang – Dai Nguyet Project.
Reporting to the Offshore Installation Manager, accountabilities include:
• Planning, coordination and communication of related activities across the offshore team to enhance and all the time maintain safety awareness of all personnel on facilities.
• Conduct regularly work site inspection, participate in safety talks to assist and ensure all activities are implemented in a safe manner following approved risk assessment and permit to work.
• Coordinate offshore safety program in accordance with Company/Industry standards.
• Quality assurance regarding all safety and environmental procedures and policies for the installation
• Proactively conduct audits for compliance on established procedures.
• Coordinate all offshore emergency drills and exercises
• Ensure that all maintenance routines carried out on safety related equipment is duly entered into the Planned Maintenance System and frequently updated.
• Carry out duties of Helideck landing Officer or Helideck Assistant as and when required.
• Monitor the Permit To Work System and check for compliance
• Coordinate all accident and incident investigations and monitoring of implementation of remedial actions.
• Maintain accurate and organized registers of all safety related equipment certification and ensure, through the OIM, that items are inspected, surveyed, calibrated, tested, etc, within due dates to ensure certification is always current.
• Lead or participate in risk assessment reviews of safety critical equipment and others on board as required.
• Conduct induction and familiarisation presentations to all on-coming crew members
• Conduct familiarization of safety system on the facility for all crew members.
• Coordinate hygiene inspections and/or activities.
Minimum Competencies: (Skills required to accomplish this role effectively)
• University graduated and hold Safety, Health and Environmental Certification.
• 5 years related experience in the oil/petrochemical industry with 3 years - experience as HSE Officer in similar environment.
• Thorough knowledge of company loss management, environmental, health and safety procedures.
• Experience in implementing an effective loss control program.
• Experienced in and implementing of Safety management Systems offshore
• Fully familiar with safety systems of work (PTW), hot work activities, gas testing, confined space entry work, monitoring of activities during plant shutdowns and refurbishment of major equipment
• Thorough knowledge of installation layout with emphasis on environmental monitoring, safety, evacuation and lifesaving equipment.
• Thorough knowledge of Company policies and procedures as well as industry and regulatory codes relating to the function.
• Proficient in English both written and oral.
• Effective communication skills (written, oral and computer).
• Leadership and teamwork skills.
Salary: Competitive
Working location: Onshore - Vung Tau then moving to offshore work in Q2 - 2020
