Vard Vung Tau is looking for qualified candidates to fill the below positions (In shipbuilding):

01. Surface Treatment Team Leader
02. Quality Inspector

I. Description

01. Surface Treatment Team Leader

a. Responsibilities

• Manage a team of 15 to 30 workers.
  
• Ensure proper surface treatment methods are used by workers and contractors.
  
• Inspect surface quality after sand blasting or painting and specify necessary repairs.
  
• Organize the work to achieve HSE, Quality, Milestone and budget demanding targets in a challenging environment.
  
• Develop the workers skills and participate to their training.
  
• Work in deep cooperation with technical department and planning department to achieve the targets.

b. Qualifications Required:

• Bachelor degree within naval, marine or general engineering.

c. Experience Required:

• Any industrial experience in Surface Treatment.
• People and works solid management experience.

d. Other Requirements:

• Steel Surface Treatment knowledge. (Grid blasting, Sand blasting, paint).
• Knowledge in shipbuilding and surface treatment facilities are assets.
• Strict, working with method, organized.
• Leadership skills.
• English/ computer knowledge is an asset.

02. Quality Inspector

a. Responsibilities

• Participate in daily inspection.
• Work with Classification society, Ship owner to get recommendation in order to take corrective action immediately.
• Prepare all procedures and instruction documentation relating to the specific working requirements.
• Ensure all equipment, material…that are fitted on board of vessel are approved one.
• Co-operate with concerning production departments to take pre-inspection and report issued properly.
• Collect all information to make Request for Inspection (RFI) as well as get all inspection report properly.
• Organize quality meeting.
• Report directly to Quality Manager all problems concerning about the project is in charged

b. Qualifications Required:

• Bachelor Or Master degree within naval, marine or general engineering.

c. Experience Required:

• Strong Shipbuilding or Offshore experience.
• Minimum 2 year-experiences in a foreign company.

d. Other Requirements:

• Understanding about the Machinery, Piping, Outfitting installation standards and testing, commissioning or Hull standards,…
• Understanding about the shipbuilding technology.
• Understanding about the National and International Rules, Regulation of Classification Societies and Authorities.
• Strong technical knowledge in Pipe systems and Machinery or Hull.
• Strict, working with method, organized.
• English written and spoken mandatory.
• Basic computer knowledge mandatory.
• Shipbuilding technical issues interest.
