PVTrans OilField Services is a professional provider of maritime transportation and services to the oil and gas industry in Viet Nam and abroad (FSO/FPSO, O&M...). We are now hiring Mechanical Technician to join our team as follows:
Minimum Competencies: (Skills required to accomplish this role effectively)
• Mechanical Technologist or Trade Certificate in Heavy Duty Mechanics or Millwright
• 5 years related experience in an industrial maintenance environment (preferably in the offshore or petrochemical / refinery industry)
• Working knowledge of regulatory and industry codes applicable to the mechanical discipline
• Working knowledge of process/vessel related mechanical equipment
• Working knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance, condition monitoring and with the application of computerized maintenance management systems
• Familiarity with the theory and practice of rotating equipment and vibration analysis
• Experience with the operation and maintenance of gas turbine driven generators, diesel engines, multi-stage centrifugal pumps and compressors, HVAC systems, hydraulic systems and associated auxiliary equipment
• Ability to read relevant technical drawings and piping specifications
• Machinist skills would bean asset
• Demonstrated awareness and sensitivity to environmental health and safety issues
• Effective communication skills (written,oral and computer)
• Proficient in English both written and verbal.
• Leadership and teamwork skills/behaviors which support a team based organization.
• Ability to understand and react with diverse offshore/onshore groups and operations.
