PVTrans OFS - Now Hiring Lead Mechanical Technician

PVTrans OilField Services is a professional provider of maritime transportation and services to the oil and gas industry in Viet Nam and abroad (FSO/FPSO, O&M...). We are now looking for driven, independent and enthusiastic Lead Mechanical Engineers as below:

• Detailed knowledge of mechanical maintenance practices applicable to offshore oil and gas asset
• Associated technical standards and relevant legislation
• Established supervisory and leadership experience of maintenance scheduling, organizing, coordinating and controlling of work including the management of contractors and vendors
• Equipment is safely and effectively maintained in accordance with CPP expectations, Regulatory and other relevant codes and standards.
• To supervise other team members in the safe and efficient operation of the CPP and wellhead platform.

Reports to the Maintenance Supervisor, accountabilities include:

• Able to carry out planned mechanical maintenance in accordance with the requirements of the planned maintenance system
• Experienced in undertaking fault finding, installation, isolation and re-instatement on mechanical systems and equipment – both rotating and static.
• Communication skills and the ability to present complex technical issues in a clear and concise manner.
• Manage risk in an effective manner. Be action orientated, results driven and able to inspire others.
• Extensive knowledge in diesel generators, turbines, hydraulics, and compression trains, rotating equipment and cranes.

Minimum Competencies:

• Mechanical Technologist Degree in Mechanics or equivalent.
• 5 years related experience in a marine or Topsides maintenance environment. Offshore oil and gas operations would be an asset with 1-3 year experience in lead mechanical position.
• Working knowledge of regulatory and industry codes applicable to the maintenance disciplines.
• Working knowledge of marine and / or Topsides related mechanical equipment.
• Working knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance, condition monitoring and with the application of computerized maintenance management systems.
• Familiarity with the theory and practice of rotating equipment and vibration analysis.
• Experience with the operation and maintenance of gas turbine driven generators, diesel engines, multi-stage centrifugal pumps and compressors, HVAC systems, hydraulic systems and associated auxiliary equipment.
• Ability to read relevant technical drawings and piping specifications.
• Effective communication skills (written, oral and computer).
• Leadership and teamwork skills / behaviours which support a team based organization.
• Proficient in English both written and spoken.

Working location: Onshore - Vung Tau then moving to offshore work in Q2 2020
