A. Position Purpose
Material Inspector shall be in charged for inspection of incoming raw material, including instruments, mechanical equipments and verify the materials during fabrication process.
B. Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
Task Management/Quản lý nhiệm vụ/công việc:
QC Material Engineer shall be responsible to liaise with warehouse personnel to check incoming raw materials, pipe fittings, instruments, equipments, mechanical packages etc and verify the materials during fabrication processes, the following inspection activities shall be applied:
· Jointly check the incoming materials with warehouse personnel against PO & certificates
· Review the certificates against spec and applicable codes
· Check the storage conditions against the yard practice and manufacturer’s recommendation
· Prepare the Good inwards inspection report (GIIR)
· Verify and ensure the traceability of materials during fabrication process.
· Prepare the material traceability report
· Issue the NCR or OSD when the materials not complied with PO or spec.
· Liaise with surveyor or client to verify and review the materials
· Report to Quality Manager and inform to other QC engineer any inspection results, Discrepancy, NCR, … which founded during inspection.
· Weekly report to Quality Manager
· Perform other duties when required by Manager.
People Management
· To manage class surveyors and client representative on site and shipyard for materials inspection activities.
Interpersonal Management
· Exhibit behaviour consistent with Strategic Marine cultural statement.

- To work closely with relative department in SMV and class surveyors and client representative for inspection activities.
- To make a plan of inspection to contact class, client representative...via by email, phone...
- All Quality documentation and information to be managed and control according to SMV procedures.
- Inspection activities and time management to complete inspection work with relative department, class and client at highest effect.
