A92 gasoline is down by VND390 to VND16,405 per liter, diesel oil by VND1,250 to VND11,930 per liter and kerosene by VND1,140 to VND11,110 per liter.
The latest downward adjustment has sent A92 price down a total of 6.7% this year, diesel 28.3% and kerosene 35.3%.
Two weeks ago, the retail prices of gasoline, diesel and kerosene fell by VND260 to VND16,790, VND280 to VND13,180 and VND440 to VND12,250 per liter respectively.
According to the ministries of finance and industry-trade, fuel import prices in the two weeks to December 17 turned volatile, making the base prices which are based the 15-day average fuel import prices, plus taxes and fees, lower than the retail levels.
This is the last adjustment of fuel prices this year as per Government Decree 83/2014/ND-CP on oil and gas business.
This year has seen the authorities issuing 24 fuel price intervention decisions, with those on reductions outstripping those for increases.
