Malaysia's SapuraKencana Petroleum Berhad disclosed Thursday that the company has secured 5 new contracts, valued at around $65.3 million (MYR 264 million), for work offshore Malaysia and Vietnam.
The firm's wholly owned unit SapuraKencana TL Offshore Sdn Bhd (SKTLO) clinched a contract from Repsol Oil and Gas Malaysia Ltd. to transport and install offshore facilities for the Year 2014-2016 - BOC-BOD Pipeline Replacement Tie-In Project. The workscope under the 1-month long contract covers subsea tie-in of spools to be executed at Bunga Orkid Development located at the Northern field of PM3 Commercial Arrangement Area, north-east of Peninsular Malaysia bordering Vietnam and Thailand.
Meanwhile, MISC Offshore Floating Terminals (L) Ltd. awarded SKTLO the second contract, with a duration of 5 months, for the demobilization of Floating Storage and Offloading (FSO) ABU. SKTLO will work on a base scope for demobilization and offloading of the FSO, located around 199 miles (320 kilometers) offshore of Kertih, Terengganu, Peninsular Malaysia in the ABU cluster field at Block PM-318. The contract has an optional scope for the towing of the FSO and installation of FSO temporary mooring arrangement at the lay-up area.
Over in Vietnam, SKTLO bagged a 3 month contract from PTSC Offshore Services Joint Stock Company to install the LQ jacket, piles and appurtenances (base scope) and module 1 (optional scope) at Su Tu Trang field offshore Vietnam.
Turning to East Malaysia, SKTLO won a 8 month long contract from PETRONAS Carigali Sdn Bhd to transport and install a pipeline, substructure and topside for the F12 Gas Development Project located approximately 112 miles (180 kilometers) offshore of North West of Bintulu, Sarawak.
Lastly, SapuraKencana Petroleum said SKTLO was awarded a contract by ExxonMobil Exploration and Production Malaysia Inc. (EMEPMI) for the provision of transportation and installation (T&I) of offshore facilities for Guntong Pipelay Project located offshore Malaysia. The workscope consists of T&I of one new pipeline from Tapis Q to Guntong C. SKTLO will commence work on the deal after the seasonal monsoon, starting from around March 2017 and targeted for completion in end May 2017.
