The purpose of this role is to carry out the assigned duties, which include but no limit to:

An APO Advisor will have a strong business focus and business understanding and will, in many ways, act as a Key Account Manager for the business. He or she will invest time and effort to build an active relationship with the business areas and, through this relationship, proactively work to ensure that the goals of the business areas and IT are realized. The APO Advisor may organize and manage Business Forums and business status meetings to ensure IT-business strategic alignment.

Typically has overall responsibility for several more complex Service Operation activities. The APO Advisor has skills, knowledge and experience from a business process and technology to contribute to developing technical solutions for the given systems and services. The Advisor takes ownership in areas such as:
  • Key Account Management. Work actively to build good relationship with key representatives and stakeholders in different business areas;
  • Collection and analysis of business requirements related to process or system development. Assist in translating requirements into demands;
  • Oversee and lead architecture design, development, and support of systems within the role-specific area;
  • Management of specific applications in cooperation with third parties;
  • Vendor management according to VARD vendor collaboration model;
  • Work closely with the business side to define business requirements, develop design specifications, and implement these using internal resources or third parties;
  • Provide support through understanding and analysing user issues; fix problems and solve incidents;
  • Take on the project manager role in ensuring project and product quality reviews occur on schedule and according to procedure. Ensures that project deliverables are completed within agreed cost, timescale, and resource budgets and are formally accepted by appropriate stakeholders;
  • Manages the change control process and assesses and manages risks. Ensures realistic project plans are maintained and delivers regular and accurate communication to stakeholders;
  • Monitors costs, times, quality, and resources used and takes action where performance deviates from agreed tolerances.
Qualifications Required:
  • Project management certification or education similar to PRINCE2 Practitioner, PMI PMP (Project Management Professional) – or similar other.
Other Requirements:
  • Technical experience with delivering end-user services within the role-specific area;
  • Good ICT knowledge and experience within areas relevant to the role-specific responsibilities, for instance, ERP, Sharepoint or Engineering Solutions;
  • Experience in managing ICT projects, project risks;
  • ITSM awareness, request, incident, change, and problem management;
  • Good understanding of business processes and conceptual thinking;
  • Basic knowledge of databases, networks, and web technology;
  • Good English and Vietnamese, both written and spoken.
